What it is

Macrium Reflect makes disk images and partition-level backups for Windows. It supports full, incremental and differential images, restore to dissimilar hardware (ReDeploy) and a bootable WinPE recovery environment.

Problems it removes

  • You want a reliable disk image of a Windows machine before a risky change or migration.
  • A failed system disk must be restored onto new, possibly different, hardware quickly.
  • Windows servers and workstations need scheduled image backups you can trust to restore.

How administrators use it

  • Schedule full plus incremental images to a NAS or external disk.
  • Build a WinPE rescue USB to restore a machine that will not boot.
  • Use ReDeploy to restore an image onto dissimilar hardware.

Common questions

Is there still a free version?

It is image-based (whole disks/partitions), but you can restore individual files and folders from an image.
